Student Meal Payments

SchoolCafé Family Hub

Our new SchoolCafé Family Hub is live!

Please visit portal to create a new account. Select “I’m a Parent.” You can add your student(s) via date of birth, first and last name. Please note the current “Link to Online Portal” on the SPS website is not corrected yet as we are no longer using Meal Magic.

District Employees please note:

  • If you are a parent that works in the district AND have student(s) in the district, please register as a parent.
  • If you are a district employee and DO NOT have student(s) in the district, please register as a district employee.

What information transferred over?
Student Accounts - All students’ previous positive account balances, free/reduced/paid status, and café PIN numbers were automatically transferred over. New PIN numbers were generated for any student new to the district. We can always look up any student by name. Kindergarten and 1st grade students will receive a lanyard with their café PIN on it on the first day of school.

Staff Accounts - District employees’ positive account balances have not been uploaded yet but will be soon. District employees were issued new PIN numbers – but we can always look you up by name.

Lastly – if you typically qualify for free/reduced benefits through the State of Connecticut (SNAP, certain types of HUSKY) that information was uploaded to the new system, but I have not had a chance to send out notification letters yet. If you submit an application and are already qualified, the application may get rejected.
